Another Miracle March in Mammoth/CA This Year?

“Miracle March” this term came about in the Winter of 1990-1991in Mammoth Lakes California. It was a result of a very dry Winter followed by a very wet March. During the Winter of 1991 in Mammoth, the month of March delivered 176 inches of snow to the main lodge. This year the last storm put a huge dent in that 176 inch Bar. Main Lodge Mammoth Mountain received about 60 inches this past storm.

The forecast includes some light snow this weekend with periods of moderate to strong winds over the upper elevations. A major storm is expected to develop by Tuesday next week as both Polar and Subtropical Jets become confluent for several days! It looks to be a good 4-day storm!
