So you wanna know about the best brew in town, huh? (And by brew, we mean coffee this time, not beer – surprisingly. Although our beer is pretty good too). Well, ditch the Starbucks, the Coffee Bean, and all the other coffee joints you know – nothing compares to these three stops for that magical morning elixir:

#1) Black Velvet Coffee

An espresso bar and wine bar all wrapped into one, you say? I’m in! BVC is a coffee lover’s dream, a tri-level shrine to coffee and wine. With delicious blends imported from Ethiopia, Brazil, and many other coffee capitals across the world, the variety is spectacular. What’s more, you can subscribe to have your favorite coffee shipped to you every two weeks. A modern shop with a vintage background, this is perhaps one of the best coffee shops in Mammoth Lakes.

#2) Stellar Brew

SB is all about the organic experience, with locally roasted fair trade coffee being the name of the game. On top of all that, delicious organic, vegan, gluten-free, and all-natural breakfast and lunches are available. If you should choose to stop in, the organic dark chocolate mocha is our personal fave. 😉

#3) Looney Bean

“Coffee is meant to be shared” – or at least that’s Looney Bean’s motto. While I can’t say I want to share my coffee in the mornings, I can say that people usually wish I would when they see it’s from Looney Bean. LB is a staple in town, offering blends from all across the world in a quirky yet worldly atmosphere. Their Whiskey Creek and Black Diamond blends are also a bit of a specialty.
