Winter packs one last punch

Somehow, we just can’t escape the snow…not that we’re complaining! After a few days of sunshine and mild temperatures in Mammoth Lakes, forecasters are now telling us five more feet of snow are expected this weekend. They predict that this will probably be the last storm of the season, but a great chance to squeeze in some more skiing before it’s over.

There’s now question, however, that this winter has been unpredictable and could have a few more surprises in store. Although, we certainly hope we won’t have to be calling in the National Guard like earlier this year when a string of storms dumped nearly 45 feet of snow on the town.
