We’re entering some milder temperatures this weekend, but that doesn’t mean the snow in Mammoth is completely over. Forecasters are saying more storms could be in our future. In the meantime however, we’re enjoy this nicely packed pow with bluebird skies to boot.

The season total snow at Mammoth Lakes this year has hit 520″ with a base depth of 350″ currently at the Summit, 280″ at McCoy Station, and 200″ at Main Lodge. To put this winter in perspective, we though we’d show you the below photo of the sign at the Summit.

The photo on the left was taken this past summer, and the photo on the right was taken this winter, with the little obtrusion pictured on the ground being the top of the same sign pictured on the left.
