Yards of snow in Mammoth!

Over the next 7-10 days, we can expect some serious weather systems coming our way up here in Mammoth. Heavy snowfall is expected to start tomorrow night and continue all the way through Thursday, with 18-24″ coming down on Wednesday night.

The Arctic front moving in that is responsible for all this snowfall could deliver anywhere around 5 to 8 feet of snow to Mammoth and 12 to 16 feet over the upper elevations.

That’s right, folks. We’re talking YARDS of snow. Not just feet.

In addition to this great news, On the Snow has ranked Mammoth as one of the top five ski resorts with the most snowfall this season in the U.S. At a base depth of 150″ on the upper mountain, Mammoth beats out countless other ski areas across the country for season total pow. In addition, Mammoth was also ranked in the top 30 ski resorts that get the most snow in the world by Ski Adventure Guide.
