FIRST SNOWFALL OF THE 2016 SEASON!

2016-10-16 Off By Millie Freed

The first snowfall of the season arrived in Mammoth Lakes as of Friday! Live cameras at the summit and McCoy Station showed the pow-covered mountain top. Forecasters are calling this an “omen for a great season”.

New snow continues to fall, all the way down to the top of Chair 1. Snow levels last week were predicted to reach 8000 – 9000′, but 10,000′ have actually accumulated so far. We expect that this is a sign for an early winter – one that even the forecasters couldn’t have predicted.
