Snow in May? Yes, please!

Snow in May? Yes, please!

You guys, I honestly cannot remember the last time its snowed so late into the year here in Mammoth. This past winter has led us to a season total snowfall of 610″ with nine lifts and 75 trails open at the moment from Main Lodge. As things cool down this weekend, the town is actually expecting some snow showers Saturday and Sunday — and you can bet I’ll be on the slopes for that one.

Spring skiing is wicked – sunshine, fresh pow, and a light breeze. I can’t tell you how stoked I am to know that we’ve got two more months of it ahead of us up here.

The best part of all this is that Memorial Day weekend is coming up, which means a whole 3-day weekend for skiing. The Mammoth Lakes Film Festival will be in town during this time also, which allows you the opportunity to watch some independent flicks and even meet the filmmakers!

If you are planning to make it up for the Memorial Day weekend, look no further. Check out the available Mammoth Lakes lodging that Nomadness has to offer for that weekend.
