STOCK FISHING

Winter is coming (Game of Thrones TM), but that doesn’t mean the fall season is over! For one last hoorah the lakes (and creeks) in the Mammoth Lakes area have been stocked for the final time in 2016. According to a recent article from Visit Mammoth a “fresh supply of sizeable trout” have been dropped off in Lake Mary, Lake Mamie, Twin Lakes, Lake George, Convict Lake, Mammoth Creek, and Convict Creek.

Since the nights have been cooling progressively, it is natural for the trout to begin feeding in preparation for the winter months. However, this natural rush is weather dependent. Exercise your last chance for fishing this season at Morrison’s Bonus Derby Weekend this October 28-30th. Partake in a celebration of arts, culture, and recreation for the final days of this month. Lastly, the Ambush at the Lake Derby trophy trout will be stocked and tagged for 14 lucky contests who will receive $2000 in cash for the bonus derby weekend.
